Easy to Read Display
A Microwave meter for rapid determination of moisture content in sand and other fine and coarse aggregates.
The Aggrameter® T-T-100 utilizes the latest microwave and microprocessor technology to measure moisture content in various fine and coarse-grained materials. The prongs of the probe are inserted into the material to be tested and the percentage of moisture content is instantaneously shown on the easy to read display.
An average of five to ten readings is normally taken in order to ensure a valid result. This output is converted by the integrated microprocessor and the moisture content is displayed directly as a percentage of dry weight. The Aggrameter® comes calibrated for both sand and aggregate, and can be programmed by the user with up to ten different materials. The maximum aggregate particle size to be tested is approximately 3/8" (or 9.5 mm) in diameter.
The Aggrameter® can store more than 150 readings - complete with time and date for future reference. Data can be recalled via USB interface to a personal computer.
Aggralinx®
The Aggralinx® software will allow connection of the instrument to a Windows 7, 8 or 10 personal computer. All the data stored by the unit can be uploaded to the personal computer for inclusion in quality control reports or any other form for later analysis. The software will also allow the user to ‘customize’ the Aggrameter® to a specific material. This will dramatically increase the accuracy of the unit.

Calibration
Procedures
- Dry a sample of material in low heat
using a bake oven. (It is suggested to weigh the sample prior to drying.)
- When the sample has lost
all of it's internal moisture, the calibration process of the material can be started. (Note: This may take several hours.) Weigh the dried sample.
- Turn ON the Aggrameter®, T-T-100
- Using the up or down
arrows, scroll through the menu selection until Direct mode appears on
the T-100 display. (It is recommended to erase all prior data saved on
the T-T-100.) (See Instruction Manual pg.36, step 6.)
- Take 10 readings for
each percentage; starting at zero percent (or Oven Dry). Store each reading by pressing the Enter button.
- Now slowly add water in 2 percent increments to the sample. (For a 4,000 gram sample, a 2 percent increment = 80 grams of water.)
- Continue adding water to the sample in 2 percent increments, and taking & saving 10 readings for each increment.
- After the T-T-100 has hit full
saturation (the direct reading = 409.5 mV), uploading the saved data with the software is necessary.
- Uploading can be done
by connecting the Aggrameter® to a P.C. with the software using the supplied USB cable.
- Use the provided instructions in the
T-T-100 manual (page 34-35) to successfully accomplish calibration.
- Once analyzation of the data has
been completed using the T-T-100 software, the Offset and Gain values will be displayed.
Record these values down for future use. Or... if these values are ever accidentally erased, they can then be reentered.
- Return to the T-T-100 and
enter a User Material program. (T-T-100 manual page 20 “Change user program”)
Once the calculated Gain and Offset values have been entered into the T-T-100, calibration for that material is now completed.
